Education Pathways:

Training Provider: UK Sport Academy

The 1 or 2 year full-time Football Education Programmes deliver a sports coaching pathway in:

  • NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity: designed as a full, two year programme for students who wish to develop their skills and knowledge of the sector. This qualification supports students interested in progressing to higher education.

  • Fitness Instructor Level 2 & 3 (1 year course), entry Requirements – Completion of level 2 or 3
  • Sport Management or Sports Coaching Degree (3 year course), entry Requirements – Level 3 Completion

 

What to Expect:

  • Players can explore an opportunity to gain access into universities in the UK and USA.
  • Enjoy elite level Nike kit & equipment
  • Regular fixtures against teams from Pro Academies

KEVIN RANDALL - Head of Pro:Direct Academy Newcastle 

Director of Coaching at Pro:Direct Academy Newcastle, Kevin played and captained Chelsea FC and Barnet FC youth teams,before moving into Semi-Pro Football playing in the Ryman & Southern Football League. He made over 600 appearances for St Albans city FC, Northwood FC, Yeading FC, Biggleswade Town FC, Hemel FC and Barton Rovers FC, winning league titles and league cups. A career that started age 16 lasted until he was 34.

He holds the UEFA B Licence and the FA Youth award and in 2015 he became Director of Coaching at Soccer Chance Academy Bedfordshire (16-19). He is also CEO Director of coaching at HFC Junior Academy (5-12 Foundation age group) and has worked with Arsenal Soccer Schools for 3 years.

Kevin's Dad Alan is Head Scout at Watford FC and was previously the 1st team scout at Tottenham Hotspur FC for over 15 years bringing in players such as Gareth Bale, Aaron Lennon, Dele Alli and many more. Kevin joined Pro:Direct Academy in 2018.

Players should make our coaches aware of any medical conditions before joining Pro:Direct Academy or starting any of our programmes or sessions.

Any issues regarding the welfare of players is taken seriously and our UEFA & FA Licensed Coaches can forward parents and players to the Welfare Officer.
